The USO Northwest Red, White & Blue Golf Classic is the Northwest's premier golf tournament and auction benefiting the USO and our local military families. Join 300+ golfers and spectators, local celebrities, and military heroes from all five service branches for a world-class golf event spanning two courses at The Golf Club at Newcastle. Included in the festivities will be an 18-gun salute from the US Marines, a special performance of our National Anthem, an aircraft flyover, delicious food and more! Helicopter Golf Ball Drop - $10 per ball - Get a chance to win up to $1500. Golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter at 6:45pm on June 16th at the Golf Club at Newcastle. The first ball in or closest to the hole wins the grand prize. Proceeds to benefit the USO Northwest.

Ball Drop is schedule to be held at 6:45pm on June 16, 2016 at the Golf Club at Newcastle. In the event of inclement weather, the ball drop will be scheduled on the next possible business day mutually agreed upon by the Golf Club at Newcastle and USO Northwest. The ball that is closest to the hole wins. Distance to the hole is measure by the closest point of the ball to the rim of the hole, as determined by the judge (Mark Rashell.) If two or more balls are equidistant from the hole, this will be considered a tie. If a ball falls into the hole, it will be considered closest to the hole. If two or more balls fall into the hole, the first ball in the hole will be considered the winner. In the event of a tie, the grand prize will be split equally among all balls tied. ONLY one Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize is equal to 1/2 of the NET proceeds of the Contest. In the event of any dispute in the contest, the contest judge will rule and the judge’s decision is final and incontestable. USO Northwest reserves the right to refuse to sell a “ball” to any person. The winner need not be present to win. The Grand Prize will NOT be awarded if the winner’s payment is dishonored in any way or for any reason. The winner may be responsible for taxes and a Form 1099 may be submitted to the IRS. The winner agrees to permit his/her name to be used in any advertising, promotion, publicity or press release regarding the contest. The winner must sign a liability release prior to acceptance of the grand prize. Pursuant to the liability release the winner will agree to hold USO Northwest and any directors or members harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or contest. purchase of a “ball” indicates acceptance of the rules & regulations of the “Ball Drop”.
