Mike's military service included eight years as a Nuclear Submarine Officer where he served on three ships, USS Theodore Roosevelt (SSBN-600), USS Snook (SSN-592), and the USS Narwhal (SSN-671) where he was a plank owner.
After his Navy experience, Mike had a long career as a businessman in the Seattle area. His senior level responsibilities included General Manager of Kenworth Truck Company, Vice President of PACCAR, Inc., President of Raima Corp., and President and CEO of Pacific North Equipment.
Now retired, Mike is active in several volunteer organizations including Rotary, the Boy Scouts, and the USO Puget Sound. Mike's USO experience included seven years as the organization’s volunteer president.
