Service members who deploy through our USONW Shali Center are given a Care Package containing necessary travel items such as toiletries, snacks, and reading material.

Phone Calls Home gives service members the phone cards needed to reach out and connect to their family and friends. Minutes with a loved one are precious when deploying for months at a time.

Packages include framed, personal message from service member to their family. This program is offered at all large deployments through Joint Base Lewis-McChord (McChord Field).

Whether it's the latest football game, an action/adventure thriller, or a Kinect game, our service members and their families enjoy playing video games. We are always in need of the newest game and multiple copies.

Servicemen and women choose a book to read aloud and then are recorded on DVD. The DVD and book are mailed to the family at home. This program is offered at all USONW Centers.

Our military families go through lots of hardships during their service, and they do so with great humility and commitment. At our USONW Centers and with our Mobile Canteen they have a chance to relax and have some fun together.

Keeping our troops connected with their loved ones is one of the USONW's top priorities. In this day and age, that means making sure we have a fully stocked technology room. Our centers offer laptops, wifi stations, and much more.

USONW sends service members, their families and our wounded warriors to sports events throughout the local area such as NFL Seahawks games, FC Sounders and Seattle Mariners.

Our wounded, ill and injured troops deserve to experience some relaxation and time to recover in the great outdoors. The outings allow service members to demonstrate abilities and build skills, while reinforcing their self confidence and resolve.

Each month three recently returned service members and their significant other enjoy a free night stay and breakfast at a Benchmark Hospitality International luxury hotel in Washington State.
